Aged 4+ (although older kids and adults can have fun with it) the Messi Foldable Football Goal includes
- a foldable plastic goal with an attached net
- 4 metal pegs
- a small plastic inflatable football
- hand pump

How To Put Up The Messi Foldable Football Goal
The Messi foldable football goal is incredibly easy to put up. Just slide the goal out of the box and bend the hinged joints until they click into place.

Once fully open use the 4 metal pegs to secure the goal into the ground.

How To Fold Up The Goal
The ground was soft when we pushed the metal pegs into the soil so we found it easiest to have a person on each side of the goal pulling up at the same time to lift the goal out.

To collapse the goal down there are little buttons on each of the hinge corners that need to be pressed in as the hinges are collapsed down. These a quite tricky and stiff to do, and there is a little resistance, so kids may find this difficult.

Football Goal Size
When up, the football goal is approximately 61cm high, 90cm wide, and 59cm deep. It’s a great size for younger kids to play with but also great fun for older kids (and adults) to have a kick around with. My girls found it really useful for practicing precision long shots. Although this isn’t something I’d recommend doing in a small confined space like a garden!
The Inflatable Football.
As mentioned, an inflatable football and hand pump also come with the goal. You’ll find the valve neatly tucked inside the hand pump’s handle. And this screws onto the end of the hand pump when you need to inflate or deflate the ball.

It’s easy to inflate but be warned the football is on the small side. But it has good tension over the surface when fully inflated which makes it fun and easy to kick around. And it could be used indoors, in a safe zone, to practice skills

Deflating the ball is easy. Just insert the valve and squeeze the air out!

Impressions Of The Messi Foldable Football Goal
My first impressions are that it’s a really handy piece of sports equipment to have around the house for keeping kids active and getting them outside. And its compact size means it’s easy to store away when not in use.
The goal is very well made, with strong hinges and joints. And although made of plastic is very solid when unfolded. The netting and fabric were also good quality with good stitching and no frays or tears. The hand pump and inflatable football were solid, but any wind is going to make it hard to use the ball because it’s light. I do like that the valve is stored away in the handle
It’s perfect for kids that just want to have fun kicking a ball around the garden or at the park with their mates. But for kids that love and play football, it can be used as part of their skills training equipment. My girls used it to hone their accuracy when kicking long shots. Having a small goal meant they could really focus on understanding the tweaks they needed to make to control the direction the ball went in. Although when doing this they did use a ‘real’ football.
And because it can be folded away and it’s light it makes it perfect for throwing in the back of the car for days out to the beach, park or for visiting friends and family.
