What’s In The Box

Getting The Robo Alive Spider out of the box is a little tricky. There are two plastic rods inserted in the spider’s underbelly to keep it secure in the packaging. You have to really tug to get them to pull out. After quite a few minutes of struggling, I found that using a pair of, slightly open, scissors as a lever popped them out easily.

How To Use The Robo Alive Spider
The great thing about the Robo Alive Spider is it’s ready to use straight out of the box.
You can see how simple it is to use in this video that my twin girls Ro And Ra made for their YouTube channel Love RoRa .
It comes with batteries already installed, which the instructions say will last approximately 35 minutes. It works by sending vibrations down little brushes on the underside of its body.

Once switched on this furry little spider means business and scuttles around the floor at lightning speed, self-correcting itself when it bangs into objects. It’s perfect for pranks and will appeal to all ages.

What Did We Think Of The Crawling Spider?
At around £7.95 the Robo Alive Spider is suitable for birthday gifts, stocking fillers and ‘Secret Santas’ as well as being great value for Halloween tricks. With so many expensive electronic t0ys on the market Zuru Toys have created a beautifully simple toy, that is great value for money, easy to play with and most importantly has the potential for loads of fun!
