Top Tips For Using Plasticine
- Twist the plasticine a few times to soften it first
- Use a smooth plastic sheet or baking parchment to work on as it’s easier to pull it off
- Don’t throw away multicoloured pieces. Blend them to make different shades
- Blend colours to make different hues and colours. It’s great for teaching kids about colour mixing
- Use polystyrene shapes to mould the plasticine over. It makes modelling easier and uses less plasticine!
- Try using plasticine like oil paint to make a picture
- Plasticine can be used over and over again.
- It will get dusty, so keep in a plastic container (bag or box)

Plasticine Fluro
This fluro pack contains 9 neon colours and 1 modelling tool. It’s a perfect starter set as the thin, flat blocks of plasticine are easy to tear into strips, squish together, roll out and cut.

It’s perfect for twisting together to make Marbled Plasticine Easter Eggs.
Plasticine Toolz
If you want a storage box and some tools then the toolz set is perfect. It contains 7 colours, 5 shaped cutters, 1 modelling tool and 1 roller.

The plasticine comes in nice chunky-sized cylindrical blocks (a little bit more work is required to soften the plasticine up). The choice of colours is fantastic for making bright coloured creatures and works of art but be aware there is no white which is useful when making pastel shades. If you’re after a nice quantity of plasticine this is the set for you.
Plasticine 24 colour Max
If you’re after a good colour range, but not interested in tools and cutters then this 24 colour max set is perfect. It contains 24 coloured blocks. The colours are a good range, with a few shades in many of the colours and you get enough of each colour to have lots of modelling fun.

Plasticine Tower Blox
The tower blox pack contains 10 colours (square lumps inside individual plastic boxes) and over 20 accessories including
- cutters,
- roller
- tools
- plastic sheet
This set is a great starter set with storage for the plasticine.

Plasticine Uber Tubes
Uber tubes contain 16 colours, some plasticine cutters (animals and shapes), 2 modelling tools, a roller and plastic mat.

Not only do you get a good selection of colours but you also get a really nice quantity of each one and you’ve got loads of tools to have fun with. The cutters are the same as you get in the Towe Blox. The main difference between the two sets being the lack of little stackable plastic storage boxes.
